Sacramento Women Take Back the Night is proud to be a participant in the 2011 V-Day Campaign. We have been granted the rights to host a V-Day benefit production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues,” which will increase awareness and raise money to end violence against women and girls. Our first performance will be in Sacramento on Friday, April 22 at The Guild Theater - buy your tickets here. Our second performance will be held at The Crest Theatre on April 26. V-Day Sacramento
V-Day Sacramento refers to the Sacramento community production of The Vagina Monologues. It is a project of Northern California Association for Women Take Back the Night based in Sacramento (Sacramento WTBN).
In addition to bringing the local and international plight of women and girls to the forefront, the goals of V-Day Sacramento are to raise money to benefit local anti-violence organizations and to channel awareness into action. In 2012, the proceeds from the V-Day Sacramento production of "The Vagina Monologues" will benefit Sacramento Women Take Back the Night, WEAVE, My Sister's House, and Community Against Sexual Harm.
